Kandalyn Hahn works for the Chicago Department of Planning & Development supporting the Commission on Chicago Landmarks. Kandalyn Hahn earned her B.A. in Fine Arts from Amherst College and her M.A. in Historic Preservation Planning from Cornell University. Her master’s thesis “The Successful Preservation of Rock and Roll Music Sites: Paul McCartney's Childhood Home in Liverpool, England and the Chess Records Office and Studio in Chicago, Illinois” allowed her to combine her love of music with her commitment to historic preservation. Kandalyn hails from Nebraska but lives in Chicago with her husband Richard Poemape, their son Julian, one cat named Otis Redding, and another named David Bowie. |
