The Society of Architectural Historians and the Chicago Chapter of SAH are sponsoring a panel discussion about the pioneering client and patron Dr. Edith Farnsworth and her country house in Plano. After a brief overview of his new book The Edith Farnsworth House: Architecture, Preservation, Culture (Monacelli 2024), IIT architectural historian and preservationist Michelangelo Sabatino will moderate the panel with distinguished panelists who will discuss strategies in place to encourage new generations of enthusiasts and professionals to visit (and re-visit) architecture sites as well as the challenges associated with preserving buildings.
